Candidate number

This is a key variable that is not dependent on any other variables. It is personal to the participant.

A candidate number is given to another chooser when

• either they are selected from a results list by the enquirer
• or the other chooser selects them from a results list

In order to ensure that repeat correspondences are identified together, what we need is a Unique Regenerative Relationship Identifier or URRI.

What is vital about this URRI is that neither chooser can discover anything at all about the other end of the relationship just with this URRI. I don't know how to do this, but see privacy.

We need both a sequential CanNum: for ease of use; to index candidates; and to give a memorable feel to time sequence — and a universal URRI: which doesn't need to be a number necessarily.
