This page is not the template for terms, but gives the definition of the term ‘template’.

A template, here, is an outline, more or less simple, for a particular kind of page, which often sit in their own namespace.

Template pages don't have backlinks, as they are not part of the information structure itself. And of course there can't really be a template for templates, as there are no structures on a page that are common to all pages in this wiki.
