aSimonG: Trust is used very frequently in related conversations in fields related to the MAP. I have noticed a separation between the technology of computational trust – which seems to rely on non-repudiability and typically some kind of distributed ledger – and the human experience of trust (social science), which I personally understand as a belief that the other agent will take decisions or execute actions in similar ways to oneself in similar contexts. The more similar, the more trust there will be.
Technical people have a tendency to focus on the technical side, oppositely to non-technical people.
Reputation is a related concept, along with reputational capital.
