commoning (MAP term)

the ongoing social process through which people collaboratively create, steward, and sustain shared resources (i.e., Vital Capitals) and relationships

The term “commoning” appears to have been introduced in “There is no commons without commoning” by Peter Linebaugh in “The Magna Carta Manifesto” (2008).1)

It was subsequently popularised by others, including notably by David Bollier and Silke Helfrich.
