Candidate number

This is a key variable that is not dependent on any other variables.
It is personal to the participant.

A candidate number is given to another chooser when 
  * either they are selected from a results list by the enquirer
  * or the other chooser selects them from a results list

===== Commentary =====
In order to ensure that repeat correspondences are identified together, what we need is a Unique Regenerative Relationship Identifier or [[URRI]].

What is vital about this URRI is that neither chooser can discover anything at all about the other end of the relationship just with this URRI. I don't know how to do this, but see [[ch:t:privacy]].

We need both a sequential CanNum: for ease of use; to index candidates; and to give a memorable feel to time sequence — and a universal URRI: which doesn't need to be a number necessarily.
