====== Here are the RegenCHOICE criteria ======
A criterion, here, is simply a label for what becomes a question in the [[ch:|RegenCHOICE]] system, in order to clarify some characteristics that are important to people like us. To start with, here I offer

Conversations with [[https://www.linkedin.com/in/stevemelville/|Steve]] through mid-2024 persuaded me that really there are two distinct kinds of criteria and questions. The one I have most had in mind is about a “[[ch:t:property]]” of each party, that is, something about them that is relatively stable, and changes little if at all. They are the kind of things that make a big difference to life, and we largely rely on them being consistent and not changing. These start with basic facts about yourself. They might change, but not without good reason, and not often. That's the reason that answers to these questions will be recorded and kept.

The other kind of criteria I call [[ch:t:relational]].((For a few examples, follow [[ch:t:relational|this link]])) Relational criteria can easily change: I may change my mind as to how I wish to relate to you, and that isn't a stable characteristic of me. There's little point in documenting changes to answers to questions of this type.

So what I'm going to do here is to try to separate these out into the two kinds. I'm guessing there might be some tricky edge cases, which could be decided on the grounds of which criteria are ones for which it would be important for the other person to know of changes.

===== Property criteria =====
These property criteria are in principle available for any enquiry type, except when they are forbidden, for legal or other safety reasons.

These are ready for review and improvement:

  * **For individuals [[ch:et:helping]]** or serving other individuals, including trades and many other services
  * **For people [[ch:et:joining]]** groups, such as clubs, associations, religious bodies 
  * **For [[ch:et:playing]]**: inviting people together to play with specific roles and rules
  * **For [[ch:et:employment]]** of people by organisations, usually paid, sometimes unpaid.
